Long Board: Our Leadership Team
In addition to their standard expectations as a guide, several of our guides take upon themselves additional roles and responsibilities to help ensure the smooth operation of SC Outfitters. Together, they make up our leadership team (“Long Board”) and manage the week-to-week operations of the organization.
Our President supervises the Leadership Team and is responsible for defining the vision for our organization to venture forward.
Our Membership Director serves as the link between members and the guide community, and also plans on-campus programming for members.
Our Finance Director manages the organization’s finances and also develops policies that ensure SC Outfitters acts in a fiscally responsible way.
Our Training Directors help coordinate the training sessions and leadership retreats in order to advance the skills of each and every guide.
Our Trip Director works with the guides to help plan and organize our adventures, ensuring that guides have the support they need for a successful trip.
Our Technology Director maintains the technological component of the organization and also develops the technology to make operating trips more and more efficient.
Our Community Outreach Director provides members and guides with service opportunities such as trail restoration projects or trips for non-traditional participants.
Our Guide Relations Coordinator makes sure that our guides have the resources they need to connect with each other and the member community.
Our Equipment Director, Gear-u, maintains the gear we have and also plans for further purchasing of more equipment.
