Arthur grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii where he developed a love for exploring nature. With a valley full of dope rainforest waterfalls and hikes to mountain top views just down the street, Arthur’s passion for hiking, backpacking quickly grew, as did his interest in the biology and geology of the region. His favorite Hawaii hikes include Haleakala on Maui, the Na Pali coast in Kauai and any ridge or waterfall hike on his home island, Oahu. Living on a speck in the middle of the pacific ocean also bestowed a love of the sea in young Arthur. He enjoys surfing and fishing as well as snorkeling and skindiving.
Upon moving to LA, Arthur suffered a little concrete shock and quickly found SCO as an outlet for his outdoor/nature fix. He quickly fell in love with the mainland’s different but impressive geography. Some of his favorite trips have been to the Eastern Sierras, Catalina island and canyon country in Utah. In sophomore year, he became a, SCO guide and continues to explore the west coast wilderness in his lil truck. Catch him up on a mountain, surfing the coast or chasing after critters in the desert.
