Chelsea is a senior pursuing a degree in Neuroscience, and she has just returned from STUDYING ABROAD IN SCOTLAND! She had a blast backpacking in the beloved Lake District, exploring the Isle of Skye, and climbing Ben Nevis (the tallest peak in the British Isle), and now she’s ready to soak up the California sun!
Originating from Danville, California, she is proud to call NorCal her home. Chelsea’s love of the outdoors began at a young age as she spent her summers camping and backpacking in Big Basin, Yosemite, and Mammoth Lakes. As she grew older, she developed a passion for trail running and exploring the foothills of Mount Diablo near home.
During her summers, Chelsea has worked as a counselor at Camp Kennolyn, leading backpacking, surfing, and white water rafting trips across Northern California. Isolated in the redwood forest, without technology, she developed a deep appreciation for the simplicity of life outdoors. Chelsea enjoys spending time and leading trips in the wilderness because of nature’s ability to calm, inspire, and bring people together. She joined the guide community in the spring of 2012 and hopes to see you on some of the incredible trips we have planned!
“Come forth into the light of things. Let nature be your teacher.” — William Wordsworth.
