Christine Anderson is a senior from Denver, Colorado studying Civil Engineering and Urban Planning. With two old-school Coloradans as parents, she was raised on a steady diet of hiking, backpacking, and skiing (snowboarding wasn’t allowed in her family). She has been on three Outward Bound trips; rock climbing in Joshua Tree, sea kayaking in Prince William Sound, and backpacking through the Costa Rican rainforest.
Christine began her tenure as guide in Fall 2010. She is currently Membership Director and is enjoying all the challenges that the dynamic organization and membership program bring to the position. She has led many trips and appears to have an affinity for summits, having led trips for the Summit Series each year. She spent the summer summitting fourteeeners in Colorado (the photo about is on Mt. Bierstadt).
Christine misses Colorado and the outdoor community that can be found there and was thrilled to be able to find an outdoor community here on the urban campus of USC. She loves gaining greater outdoor knowledge from her fellow guides and passing on her love of the wilderness to other students.
