Elisabeth was born and raised on the Adriatic coast of Italy, Italian being her first language, which can explain her inability to speak English properly from time to time. Subsequently, her family moved to the mean streets of Downers Grove, IL, where Elisabeth became an Italian beef connoisseur and avid cross-country skier and runner. Elisabeth hails from a long linage of explorers, most notably Stephen Hopkins, who sailed across the Atlantic on the Mayflower and spent his free time plundering pirate ships in the Caribbean. (It is speculated Stephen was the inspiration behind the boisterous and drunk Stephano, from Shakespeare’s The Tempest).
Even though sleeping in the woods and avoiding showers takes up most of her time, Elisabeth also enjoys the finer things in the “front country,” such as eating toro sushi and watching Law & Order. She has an insatiable lust for that brown nectar known only as “coffee.” Her greatest accomplishment is having solved every Nancy Drew computer game mystery to date.
