Julia, otherwise known as Jules, Jules Verne, Loup, and including but not limited to, Huggie (long story) would like to welcome you, dear readers, to the SC Outfitters’ wonderful website and her life. She is currently a senior studying psychology and working towards a dual degree in design. Jules grew up just south of Baltimore, Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay learning to sail, hike and mountain bike. Luckily, living in the Mid Atlantic region, she was able to grow up with and experience all four seasons, from the blazing hot, humid summers to the perfectly snowy, calm winters. In the summers her family would take sailing trips and kayak around the area turning her into an ocean child from the beginning. In the winters, along with her fear of heights, she would cross country ski any day over downhill. She simply loves being in the outdoors and cannot get over how beautiful our earth actually is.
Comments aside about her affinity for the cliché things in life, and perhaps a tendency to be less than perfectly articulate, the reason she decided to be a guide is because she truly believes in the simplicity of nature and its ability to bring people together. As a guide she hopes to explore the west coast and meet as many wonderful people as possible!
In a nutshell: she loves classic rock, is mildly obsessed with cars (an understatement), hates carrots, would live off mint chocolate chip ice cream if possible, and loves all animals (she will talk to them on the trails, no shame).
