Katie Peters is a freshman from Denver Colorado. Growing up, she spent her summers hiking and camping in the Rocky Mountains. During the winter she spent time snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and skate skiing. Katie has always been involved in competitive sports but has a particular passion for outdoor activities. She has recently developed a passion for mountain climbing after summiting Kilimanjaro this past summer and hopes to climb the Colorado 14ers this summer.
Upon coming to Los Angeles for college she joined SC Outfitters where she has enjoyed opportunities going on trips around the Los Angeles area and to Catalina Island. Katie is the Day Trip Coordinator and is excited about the recent growth of SC Outfitters and about the variety of day trips being offered this semester.
Katie is excited to be a part of a group who enjoys similar interests and looks forward to meeting others who are passionate about the outdoors. She loves that SC Outfitters offers a way to escape the urban environment of LA and explore California’s natural beauty.
