Megan Nathan is a Senior hailing from La Cañada, CA, majoring in Biology. Her passion for the outdoors was sparked during her childhood via family camping trips to Yosemite. She has been a Girl Scout for over 14 years, which has given her numerous opportunities to camp, sea kayak, hike, and backpack. Megan loves to travel, and 3 summers ago backpacked through Europe for 5 weeks. While on her Euro-trip, Megan’s thirst for adventure inspired her to skydive and canyon in the Swiss Alps. Spring break of her Freshman year, Megan journeyed to Iceland where she hiked to waterfalls, snorkeled in 1° C water, explored hidden lava caves, and relaxed in the country’s many natural hot springs. Two summers ago Megan camped and dug for fossils in southern Utah for 2 weeks. Megan studied abroad in New Zealand her Sophomore year where she rock-climbed, kayaked, and backpacked every weekend. New Zealand is where Megan completed her first solo 4-day backpacking trip, hitch-hiked for the first time, and bungee-jumped for the first time! Megan spent her past summer working with sloths in Costa Rica. She is currently on exchange in Australia, kickin’ it with the badass (and fellow guide) Katie Peters!
This is Megan’s 3rd and final year guiding with SC Outfitters. Megan is eager to spread her love of the outdoors with you!
