Michele is a senior studying Environmental Studies, with a minor in Economics. Born in Chicago yet raised in Houston, her parent’s love for the great outdoors inspired her own interest and passion in getting into the wild.
From learning to ski at the age of 4, to various family camping expeditions, to 12 years as a Girl Scout, Michele has gotten her hands dirty in the adventures of life. She white water rafted in Switzerland, camped Yoesmite, researched in Yellowstone during high school. During her time at USC, she has SCUBA dove the beautiful waters of Guam and Palau, backpacked through the rugged wild of New Zealand while abroad, kayaked the Pacific waters, surveyed the Badlands of North Dakota, plus many other adventures. Michele almost tamed the wild Catalina fox, which she considers her greatest achievement to date.
Michele’s passion for the natural world only continues to grow as she gets older and meets more and more people who can teach her new activities and skills, opening more and more doors through which the wild can be explored.
