Quinn Rohlf is a freshman CS major who joined SC Outfitters his freshman year. He grew up backpacking and hiking all over the Pacific NW, but particularly enjoys the fantastic views and steep hikes of the Columbia Gorge near his home in Portland, Oregon. Other places he’s backpacked include Wales, Olympic National Park, Yosemite, and the Oregon High Desert.
Quinn’s interest in outdoor leadership was kindled at the same time as his interest in rock climbing and mountaineering through an organization called Explorer Post 58, which he was involved in throughout high school. During his time in the Post, he discovered how much fun it is to lead outdoor trips, and led trips to Smith Rocks, Mt. Hood, and Red Rocks. Because of his experiences with high school outdoors programs, SC Outfitters was one of the things that led Quinn to choose to study at USC.
Quinn’s biggest accomplishment with SC Outfitters was building the a new web framework that powers the website you’re looking at now. As a new guide recruit, Quinn is looking forward to learning more about the outdoors from the other awesome guides at SC Outfitters, and expanding the Outfitters rock climbing program.
May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view.
