Sean McGuire is a senior pursuing a double major in international relations and economics. Originally from the Los Angeles suburb of Diamond Bar, he spent his youth as an active Boy Scout, which granted him fantastic opportunities to explore California’s deserts, valleys, and mountains, backpack through New Mexico’s Rockies, and camp with thousands of international Scouts in the wilderness of England. These experiences, culminating with his earning the rank of Eagle, instilled in him a deep-seated reverence for nature he will carry throughout life.
According to legend, Sean was born at the stroke of midnight in the midst of a freak Los Angeles blizzard. He learned to ski at the age of four, and was dropping onto Alaskan mountains from a helicopter before he could drive (that part’s a lie.) He’s always had an affinity for colder climates, and never quite adjusted to his home region.
