Sean McGuire is a sophomore pursuing a dual degree in Economics-Mathematics and International Relations, with a minor in Environmental Studies. Originally from the Los Angeles suburb of Diamond Bar, he spent his youth very active in the Boy Scouts of America program, which granted him fantastic opportunities to explore California’s deserts and valleys, backpack through New Mexico’s Rockies, and camp with thousands of international Scouts in the wilderness of England. These experiences instilled in him a deep-seated reverence of nature, a reverence he intends to carry throughout life.

Sean became a guide with SC Outfitters in Fall of 2011 and considers himself incredibly lucky to have found such a fun group of fellow Vitamin D junkies here at USC. He is looking forward to leading some mountain biking, ocean kayaking, hiking, and backpacking trips throughout Southern California, and loves to share his enthusiasm for the outdoors with all who accompany him on his trips.
