COME CAMP WHERE THE GIANT FOREST REIGNS.
The dynamic duo – Danni and Ally – are running to the woods aka Sequoia National Forest!
We will drive up to the Sequoia National Forest early Saturday morning. Upon arriving, we will set up camp at the Lodgepole Campgrounds, and head out for a day hike and explore the area. We’ll be situated near a river so don’t be surprised if we do a dip in!
That night, Allison will cook a delicious, much-deserved dinner for the meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free, lactose-free peeps, while you lay out underneath the stars in the crisp night by the campfire.
The following morning, we’ll wrap up camp and do a quick stop at the Giant Forest. The Giant Forest, famed for its giant sequoia trees, is within Sequoia National Park. This montane forest is situated at over 6,000 feet above mean sea level in the western Sierra Nevada of California. We’ll take a stroll through it and hit the road back to USC (hopefully arriving sometime around 6pm).
This trip is a fantastic way to escape the city life and experience nature at its best. If you haven’t seen the wonders of General Sherman or the Great Western Divide there is no better time than now.
