Join us for an idyllic journey through the Idyllwild wilderness as we traverse the lush wonders of the San Jacintos. This beautiful, relatively easy (but very uphill) hike will lead us to a breathtaking overlook of Strawberry Valley and Tahquitz Peak where we’ll break to picnic, explore, and ponder the meaning of life. After our 6.6-mile hike, we’ll be sure to visit the small mountain town of Idyllwild and search for local treasures, grab some warm chai, and grub on delicacies from the famous Honey Bunns and Joe Bakery. Whether you’re looking to get out of LA for the day, take some Instagram-worthy photos, or meet fellow nature-loving Trojans, we hope you’ll join us!
“Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wildness is a necessity; and that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as fountains of life.” — John Muir
