The LAKC Beginner trip is a two-day class on basic whitewater kayak skills in class I-II water on the lower Kern river just outside Bakersfield CA at the Lake Ming campground. We start with the basics and progress as far as we can depending on the skill level and aptitude of the students.
This is a weekend of camping and getting very wet while having a fun time learning a bunch of new skills.
There are a limited number of students we can handle each trip and we are looking for people who want to learn and enjoy something that we love to do and have fun teaching.
There is a $85 fee for the class that covers renting gear and camping fees along with the a pizza dinner on the way back through Bakersfield on Sunday evening.
We provide Kayak, Paddle, Lifejacket, Sprayskirt and Helmet.
Cost: 85.00 just for the class

- Sleeping Bag
