It may be April, but we still want snow! Come join Christine (x2) and Jules on a backpacking snowshoe trip in the Los Padres National Forest. Only two hours from LA, we’ll cover a little over 13 miles in the Chumash Wilderness–an area filled with pine trees and known for its prime location to spot condors and stargaze. The trail covers a beautiful ridgeline between Mt. Pinos and Cero Noroeste at elevations between 7600 and 8800 feet. We’ll be backpacking 6-7 miles each day in the snow, so you will need some experience prior to the trip.
Trip cost includes snowshoe rentals (in addition to the usual transportation, delicious meals, and group gear you’ve all come to know and love on our trips). At the pre-trip meeting we’ll go over all the personal gear you’ll need.
