Mt. Baden-Powell is named after Robert Baden-Powell, also known as 1st Baron Baden-Powell, also known as Lord Baden-Powell. You might also know him as the first Chief Scout of The Boy Scouts Association. He looks exactly like what you would imagine someone who is named Lord Baden-Powell to look like: well-manicured, white mustache; broad shoulders, black-eyed, steely gaze (the photo emphasizes stache and shoulders; click on it to view steely gaze). What you don’t know is that his restless ghost haunts the peak that bears his name.
Join Conner Plant, an Eagle Scout, and Harrison James, a wannabe Scout, as they embark on an epic quest to free Lord Baden-Powell’s ghost from its terrestrial prison and send it on its way to a peaceful afterlife. The quest will be 8.7 miles round trip and will consist of an 2,900 ft elevation gain.
