Difficulty: Moderate- backpacking experience recommended
Join Sam and Galen for a backpacking trip in Sequoia to the most scenic of lakes, Pear Lake! We’ll camp out in Sequoia Friday night, then get up bright n early (5 am) on Saturday to start our hike. We’ll set up camp at Emerald Lake, then roll out to Pear Lake for some primo scenery and a dip in the icy water. We’ll return to camp for dinner and chillin. Sunday morning we’ll hike out, and time permitting, check out some more of Sequoia.
The trail is 11.7 miles round trip (out-and-back) with 3310 miles of elevation gain. The way out is decently uphill, so backpacking experience is strongly recommended!
We are also looking for a participant driver, so let us know ASAP if you would be able to drive. Participant drivers get a discounted trip and are reimbursed for gas. Email Sam or Galen for more information regarding that.
