Start: 10/20/2012 End:10/21/2012
Difficulty: Very strenuous. We will be ascending the highest mountain in Southern California in two days, facing serious fluctuations in temperature and sustained uphill trekking.
This trip is quite frankly gonna be pretty nuts, in the best way. Come join Connor and Shawn as we make a trek up San Gorgonio!
We’ll be making a summit attempt on the tallest peak in Southern California in late October, and we’ll be doing it in ultralight style! Ditch the heavy packs, and let SC Outfitters show you how less can be so much more!
We’ll be heading out on Saturday, the 20th, and returning the following night after spending one night on the mountain. This trip will be moving fast and light, so if you don’t think you can afford to leave those luxuries at home, this might not be the trip for you! The views will be beautiful, the company superb, and the memories eternal!
Hope you can join us!
Meet: Meet 7:00 AM outside Trojan Grounds
Return: Return sometime Sunday night. ~8:30 PM
Pre-Trip Meeting: 8 PM, Wednesday, October 10th at the VKC Arches
We’ll be going over this in a lot more detail at the pre-trip meeting, but we’ll be operating under the motto that ‘less is more’, without sacrificing safety.
In general, you will need:
-Capacity to carry at least 3 liters of water
-Rain protection (trash bags)
-Bowl and spoon (can be plastic/disposable)
