Start: 02/06/2015 End:02/07/2015
Activity: Snowshoeing, Camping
Difficulty: A strenuous out-and-back 12 mile day hike on snowshoes w/ ~2,500 ft elevation gain.
Kick off your first weekend of February by throwing on some snowshoes and exploring the snowy wilderness amongst beautiful sequoias and even more beautiful guides. Join Perry and Aaron for a 12-mile round trip snowshoe hike up to the scenic Pear Lake in Sequoia National Park. We’ll waddle, we’ll sweat, we’ll take plenty of photos at the top of the world– it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
We will leave from USC on Friday evening and set up camp near our cars on Friday night. Following a high-protein breakfast, we’ll get an early start on our journey, grab lunch at the lake and ultimately head back to USC by late Saturday night. It’ll be a tough workout, but well worth the views and the memories to come!
