Activity: Surfing Malibu's 21 Miles of Scenic Beauty
Difficulty: Beginners welcome
“…the greatest sport around.” – The Beach Boys
“as raw of a sport it gets” – Kelly Slater
“surfboard, surfboard” -Beyonce
Join us in Malibu’s 21 miles of scenic beauty to unwind, surfing in the great Pacific ocean. Will there be waves? Undoubtedly. Will they be large? Hopefully. If you’re looking to mess around in some mellow waves inside our planet’s first World Surfing Reserve site then sign up for a good time. Did I just find that surfing reserve fact on Wikipedia? You bet your a#% I did but the day you stop learning is the day you start dying.
We’re rolling out of this concrete jungle at 8:00am for the beautiful beach side city of Malibu, California . There we’ll pick up a small armada of boards and spend several hours at the break, wiping out, hanging ten and getting pitted man so pitted. Afterwards we’ll head back to shore for some epic burritos and a short drive back to good old SC.
New to surfing? Don’t worry. If you’re gonna be charging Mavericks, you gotta start somewhere. If you’re already charging Mavericks then still come through, this will be great practice for those winter swells. Either way it’ll be fun, as a well known 60’s boy band once said “catch a wave and you’ll be sitting on top of the world.”
