Start: 10/05/2012 End:10/07/2012
Difficulty: Three days, two nights, all wilderness. Not for the faint-hearted! Difficulty: 8
Come with us to Wawona Campgrounds in Yosemite National Park! We will see the breathtaking Yosemite Valley, the Mariposa Grove of Giant Redwoods, and some of the most breathtaking scenery known to bearkind. Wawona is situated on the edge of the beautiful (and refreshing!) Merced River, about 45 minutes north of the heart of the valley.
This trip will be led by your modern day John Muirs; your guides have a combined 40+ days in Yosemite Park, and we know the ropes like the back of the lead guides pack. Friday afternoon we will hike from the valley floor to the Mariposa Grove (~12 miles, moderate difficulty). Saturday we will explore the valley and go on a more rigorous hike through some spectacular waterfalls and lakes.
If you have never been to this park, then grab your hiking gear and get outdoors! Yosemite is simply stunning, and this is a trip you will never forget.
