Ladies and gentlemen, it’s the iconic, the holy, the sublime Yosemite. We’re doing three days of camping and hiking in nature’s cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the most famous of America’s parks. You’ll see peaks, creeks, lakes, trees, cliffs. She should be dusted in snow. It’s gonna be great.
We’ll be doing the 13 mile (fairly flat, highly gorgeous, wonderfully secluded) Valley Loop Trail on Saturday. Gist of the VLT– “Enjoy some solitude in western Yosemite Valley. Hike through meadows, forests, and beside the Merced River. Along the way, enjoy striking views of Sentinel Rock, Cathedral Rocks, Bridalveil Fall, El Capitan, Three Brothers, Yosemite Falls, and more.” Nice.
Sunday we’re planning on tackling the 7.2 mile (more strenuous, equally stunning) Yosemite Falls Trail, which will take us up close to Yosemite Falls, the tallest waterfall in North America. Wow.
Come cleanse your soul and prove your hardness on this *big time* trip.

“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.” ~Charles Dickens, Great Expectations
It’s spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you’ve got it, you want — oh, you don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so! ~Mark Twain
