Whatever you do, don’t peak in high school. You can peak with guides Ryan and Lilly as you summit Tahquitz Peak! First, we’ll depart for the little mountain town Idyllwild, where we’ll explore their nature center, get ice cream, (potentially) explore the Farmer’s Market, and hopefully see some mountain goats. We’ll set up camp near Lake Hemet where we’ll bond over campfire food, stargaze, and we’ll head to bed to prepare for our adventure the next day. Ryan and Lilly will serve you up the breakfast of champions so you’re properly fueled for Tahquitz Peak. After we disembark, we’ll trek through Devil’s Slide Trail and eventually stop for lunch before beginning our final ascent. After a moderately challenging ascent we’ll peak at 8,846 feet and stop at a beautiful firehouse for a photo op. We’ll then descend down the mountain, pack up our bags, and realize that was the greatest trip of our lives. It’s only downhill from here as we head back to USC, arriving around 8PM. You do not want to miss this.
